The political landscape in Maharashtra is set for a showdown as the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), comprising Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress, and NCP, finalizes its electoral strategy ahead of the state assembly elections. Scheduled to discuss seat-sharing, the MVA is determined to present a united front against the ruling coalition.
Congress leaders, including president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, participated in discussions on key constituencies and addressed concerns such as alleged voter roll manipulations. The party has decided to file police complaints in areas where voter removals were reported, criticizing the BJP for undermining democratic processes.
With a consensus reached on 210 out of 288 assembly seats, MVA aims to dethrone the ruling alliance of Shiv Sena, BJP, and Ajit Pawar-led NCP, spearheaded by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The elections are set for November 20, with results expected on November 23, marking a significant political battle in the state.
