Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to address the media following the BRICS summit held in Kazan, as stated by Kremlin foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov on Monday. The summit, which Russia is hosting, will see the participation of delegations from 36 nations, with 22 of them represented by their respective heads of state. This gathering also features six international organizations.
During the summit, which runs from October 22 to 24, Putin will engage in crucial meetings with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday. On Wednesday, discussions are scheduled with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan.
Moscow asserts that the BRICS summit is a testament to Russia's resilience against Western attempts to isolate it due to its ongoing activities in Ukraine. Ushakov's announcements highlight Russia's continuing diplomatic engagements and its efforts to solidify its international alliances through high-profile interactions.
