Ladakh's Voices Heard: Fast Ends as Ministry Commits to Dialogue

After days of fasting, prominent climate activist Sonam Wangchuk concluded his protest on Monday. This decision came after the home ministry assured that talks concerning Ladakh's demands would resume in December, providing a breakthrough for the ongoing campaign.
Prashant Lokhande, Joint Secretary for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, met with Wangchuk and other activists at Ladakh Bhawan in Delhi. Lokhande handed over a critical letter from the ministry that outlined plans for continued discussions.
The letter specified that the high-powered ministry committee would convene the next meeting with Ladakh's representatives on December 3. Following this promising development, Wangchuk and his supporters decided to break their indefinite fast.
