The upcoming BRICS summit in Russia is poised to mark a significant milestone in global multilateral cooperation. The expansion of the bloc, with the addition of Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, underscores its growing influence on international affairs.
Leaders from BRICS nations, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping, will gather from October 22 to 24 in Kazan. This assembly is anticipated to strengthen ties among these emerging economies and discuss key issues on the world stage.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian emphasized the positive role BRICS plays in international relations, aspiring for continuous collaboration to foster peace and development, particularly benefiting the Global South.
