Senior Congress leader Anand Sharma has described the results of the recent Haryana assembly elections as 'surprising', contrasting them with the popular sentiment in the state. The BJP's victory defied expectations, reflecting a complex political landscape.
Amidst these results, Sharma pointed to the contrast between Bhupinder Singh Hooda, a mass leader who couldn't reclaim leadership, and Naib Singh Saini, who secured a second term as chief minister despite not being viewed as a 'jan neta'.
Sharma's remarks came during an event marking the birth anniversary of Bihar's first chief minister, urging a revival of Congress in northern India and criticizing the BJP for allegedly diminishing historical contributions.
