Tejashwi Yadav Leads Seat-Sharing Talks Ahead of Jharkhand Elections

Sanjay Yadav, President of the RJD Jharkhand, on Monday confirmed that Tejashwi Yadav is actively involved in negotiating seat-sharing terms for the forthcoming Jharkhand elections. He highlighted that developments are moving in a positive direction, with the INDIA alliance leaders collectively agreeing to contest the elections together.
In a parallel development, Telangana's Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav were in Ranchi last Friday. Their visit aimed at finalizing seat-sharing discussions with leaders of the INDIA bloc in preparation for the upcoming assembly polls in Jharkhand. Tejashwi Yadav assured that decisions made during these discussions will be communicated promptly.
The Chief Election Commissioner, Rajiv Kumar, announced that the Jharkhand assembly elections would be conducted in two phases on November 13 and November 20, with the vote count slated for November 23. Concurrently, Maharashtra will have its single-phase polling on November 20, with results declared on November 23. Jharkhand's electorate includes 2.60 crore voters, with significant participation from young and first-time voters. Key dates have been set for the electoral process, including the release of Gazette notifications and deadlines for nominations and withdrawals.
