Key Contenders in Sikkim Bypolls: Golay and Rai File Nominations for Crucial Seats
SKM candidates Aditya Golay and Satish Chandra Rai have filed their nominations for the Soreng-Chakung and Namchi-Singhithang assembly bypolls. The bypolls were necessitated by seat vacancies following strategic decisions by Chief Minister Tamang and resignations within the party. Polling is scheduled for November 13.

In a significant move ahead of the Sikkim by-elections, SKM candidates Aditya Golay and Satish Chandra Rai submitted their nomination papers for the Soreng-Chakung and Namchi-Singhithang assembly seats, respectively, according to officials.
Golay, the son of Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, aims to reclaim the Soreng-Chakung seat, previously vacated by his father. Rai, the party's vice president, is eyeing the Namchi-Singhithang seat left empty after the resignation of CM's wife, Krishna Kumari Rai.
The bypolls on November 13 follow the SKM's sweeping victory in recent assembly elections, where they secured 31 out of 32 seats. The nominations come amidst significant political reshuffling, with close scrutiny and candidate withdrawals set for late October.
