In the final month of the U.S. presidential election campaign, Kamala Harris is outpacing Donald Trump in spending, particularly on television advertisements, according to financial disclosures. As the candidates vie for victory on November 5, Harris has gained a significant financial edge since initiating her campaign in July, following President Joe Biden's departure from the race.

September financial reports reveal Harris spent $270 million, primarily on ads, overshadowing Trump's $78 million spent the same month. Despite this financial disparity, Trump's campaign benefits from backing by affluent supporters like Elon Musk and groups such as the Make America Great Again Inc. super PAC, which received $25 million in support that month alone.

As the votes draw near, Harris leads in campaign funds with $187 million in the bank, compared to Trump's $120 million. While her financial strategy allows her to maximize television presence, history shows financial dominance doesn't always equate to electoral success, as seen in Trump's 2016 victory over Hillary Clinton despite a lower fundraising total.
