Samajwadi Party MP Babu Singh Kushwaha has called for the abolition of the caste system, asserting it as a solution to many of the nation's issues.
Speaking at the 26th annual function of Maurya Vikas Samiti, Kushwaha emphasized that Baba Saheb Ambedkar's constitutional vision was based on social reservations, declaring economic reservations unconstitutional.
He accused the BJP government of caste-based manipulation in assembly by-elections, but dismissed the potential impact of recent violence in Bahraich on the polls, affirming support for MLA Zahid Beg amidst legal troubles.
