National Conference leader Aga Ruhullah Mehdi has expressed anticipation that the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly will prioritize passing a resolution for the restoration of Article 370 in its forthcoming session.

In a recent dialogue on 'X Space', Mehdi, the Lok Sabha MP from Srinagar, emphasized his commitment to the cause, asserting his faith in the National Conference's dedication. Mehdi, a staunch advocate for Jammu and Kashmir's pre-2019 special status, assured that there are no indications suggesting otherwise, based on discussions with party members.

Addressing the return of Kashmiri Pandits, Mehdi pointed out the necessity of societal initiatives, urging broader participation in this effort. Meanwhile, the Cabinet led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has already passed a resolution for statehood, awaiting Union government approval.
