Modi Launches Varanasi Development Projects, Criticizes Political Nepotism

Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the Congress and Samajwadi Party of engaging in nepotism and appeasement politics, thereby neglecting Varanasi's development. Speaking from his parliamentary constituency, he launched developmental projects valued at over Rs 6,700 crore.
Highlighting past lack of progress, Modi noted that scams dominated headlines a decade ago, while Varanasi awaited development. Criticizing long-standing governance by these parties in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, he declared their indifference towards the city's growth.
Among new initiatives are highways, railway routes, and airports, intended to improve public convenience and generate jobs. This includes projects in Varanasi costing Rs 3,200 crore, and plans for airport expansion at Rs 2,870 crore.
