Publicity Vans Hit the Road to Boost Jharkhand Voter Turnout

In a determined effort to boost voter turnout in Jharkhand's assembly elections, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) K. Ravi Kumar unveiled 36 publicity vans on Sunday. These vans will traverse all 81 assembly constituencies statewide, raising awareness on ethical voting.
During the launch, CEO Kumar stressed the significance of voter engagement, highlighting the need to educate people on ethical voting. "The audio-visual presentations on these vans will inspire people to vote, reaching particularly those regions with previously low voter turnout," he asserted.
The assembly polls are set for two phases: on November 13 and 20, with results announced on November 23. Phase one voting encompasses 43 constituencies, with the nomination process running from October 18 to 25. Approximately 2.60 crore electors are anticipated to cast their votes, marking an increase from 2019's 2.23 crore.
