Chhattisgarh paid heartfelt tributes on Sunday to two brave personnel of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) who lost their lives in an IED blast in Narayanpur district, according to a government official.

The solemn ceremony, held at the 4th Battalion of the Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) in Mana camp on Raipur's outskirts, was attended by State Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Tank Ram Verma, among others.

ITBP troopers Amar Panwar and K Rajesh were tragically killed when a Maoist-planted IED exploded, also injuring two policemen. Hailing from Satara, Maharashtra, and Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, respectively, the troopers' remains were sent to their native places on a special plane.
