In the run-up to the Jharkhand Assembly elections, Janata Dal-United (JDU) leader Dr. Khalid Anwar announced the party's strategic decision to contest just two seats, prioritizing the state's growth over expanding influence. Anwar conveyed the party's dedication to Jharkhand's development during an interaction with ANI.
Voting across Jharkhand's 81 assembly seats will occur in two phases on November 13 and 20, with results due on November 23. Addressing the arrest of IAS officer Sanjeev Hans on money laundering charges, Anwar underscored Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's zero-tolerance policy against corruption. Anwar assured that should Hans be proven guilty, there would be no protection from the government.
Anwar further commented on Union Minister Giriraj Singh's divisive rhetoric, appreciating BJP's efforts to distance itself from such extremist ideologies. He stressed that Bihar, under Nitish Kumar, would not succumb to divisive tactics, and suggested that BJP leadership remains vigilant and willing to take necessary action against Singh.
