The BJP announced its initial list of 66 candidates for the upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections set for November 13 and 20.
Party president Babulal Marandi will contest from Dhanwar, while former chief minister Champai Soren is named for Saraikella. Sita Soren, linked to Chief Minister Hemant Soren of the JMM, is nominated from Jamtara.
The BJP is campaigning for 68 out of 81 seats, hoping to displace the current JMM-Congress government.
