Harinder Singh, a former government employee, emerged triumphant in the Haryana assembly elections as a BJP candidate, securing a notable win over Congress president Udai Bhan from the Hodal constituency. Singh attributes his victory to the BJP's strategic candidacy decision, replacing sitting MLA Jagdish Nayar with him.
Singh, closely aligned with Union minister Krishan Pal Gurjar, expressed confidence in his campaign, emphasizing plans for developmental projects in Hodal once the new government is sworn in. He intends to advocate for industrial growth to generate employment opportunities, capitalizing on the constituency's proximity to Uttar Pradesh.
The elections also witnessed INLD's Aditya Devi Lal achieve a narrow victory over sitting Congress MLA Amit Sihag in Dabwali, with a commitment to addressing local issues like drug abuse. Additionally, BJP's Devender Attri claimed a marginal win in Uchana Kalan, further boosting the party's success with 48 seats overall, surpassing Congress by 11.
