In a detailed analysis conducted by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), it has emerged that 86 of the 90 elected members of the Haryana Assembly are crorepatis, indicating a significant rise from the 2019 assembly figures.

Among these, an astounding 44% of the assembly members possess assets exceeding Rs 10 crore. Meanwhile, only a small fraction, 2.2%, have assets below Rs 20 lakh. Party-wise, affluent legislators abound, with 96% of BJP, 95% of Congress, and 100% of INLD and Independent MLAs declaring assets over Rs 1 crore.

Independent MLA Savitri Jindal from Hisar stands out with declared assets of over Rs 270 crore. Criminal allegations persist, affecting 13% of the new MLAs, including cases of serious charges. The ruling BJP, having increased its seat count, thwarted Congress' resurgence, continuing its hold on power in Haryana.
