BJP's Membership Surge in Assam: A Political Milestone

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Assam has made significant strides in its membership drive, enrolling over 58.11 lakh individuals. According to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, this figure brings the party close to its ambitious target.
In a recent social media post, the Chief Minister praised the efforts of karyakartas in the Teok and Titabor constituencies, recognizing their hard work in enrolling over 40,000 new members in these areas alone.
This membership initiative, which commenced in early September, encompasses all 126 assembly segments in the state and seeks to enroll members amounting to 75% of the total votes the party received in this year's Lok Sabha elections. Notably, the BJP gained 18 lakh members in Assam last year alone.
