The Congress-National Conference alliance triumphed in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections, turning the contest into a symbolic battle of truth against falsehood, according to National Conference leader Surinder Choudhary. Choudhary secured his victory in the Nowshera constituency by defeating BJP President Ravinder Raina with a margin of 7819 votes.

In his remarks to ANI, Choudhary emphasized that the election transcended party lines, arguing it was not about leaders like PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Farooq Abdullah. 'This was a confrontation of integrity versus deceit,' he insisted. The alliance achieved a majority in the Union Territory with 49 seats, 42 won by NC and 6 by Congress.

Concurrently, NC MP Ruhullah Mehdi announced the initiation of government formation, signaling that official developments would be evident imminently. Echoing this, JKNC Vice-President Omar Abdullah urged the formation of a government that should promptly engage with the central government to reinstate the region's statehood, aiming for harmonious relations with the Lieutenant Governor to prioritize public welfare. Omar Abdullah ensured an inclusive governance strategy that wouldn't leave non-supporting voters behind, stressing the need to represent all citizens in the new administration.
