Arvind Kejriwal, a prominent leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has rescheduled his visit to Doda in Jammu and Kashmir to October 13. Initial plans were set for October 10, but the Model Code of Conduct currently in place within the Union territory has prompted the change.
Kejriwal, who serves as the national convenor of AAP, aims to express gratitude to the Doda constituency for electing Mehraj Malik as their representative. Malik's victory marks AAP's inaugural legislative win in Jammu and Kashmir, having defeated the BJP candidate.
AAP's win in Doda brings the party's presence to five states, including Delhi, Punjab, Gujarat, and Goa. During a video call with Malik, Kejriwal accepted an invitation to attend a program in Doda, fostering further political engagement in the region.
