In a significant development leading up to the Maharashtra assembly elections, senior AIMIM leader Gaffar Quadri has leveled allegations against his party for sidelining him. The exclusion came after an announcement revealing candidate names that did not include him.

Quadri expressed his discontent with the party's Maharashtra state unit chief, Imtiaz Jaleel, accusing him of ignoring his calls, unlike the alleged preferential treatment given to BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis. This sentiment was aired during a meeting with supporters.

Highlighting the internal discord further, Quadri pointed out that AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi's selection did not favor him. He is now contemplating his next political move, having previously contested in the Aurangabad (East) assembly constituency, and seeks guidance from his constituents.
