A Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government official on Wednesday raised alarms over restrictions imposed on former Prime Minister Imran Khan's meetings with his family and legal team, citing increased anxiety among his supporters.
Barrister Saif, advisor to the chief minister, criticized the Punjab government for banning Khan's visits until October 18 due to unspecified security concerns, and questioned the rationale behind these restrictions.
Amid reports of Khan's deteriorating health, the official accused the federal government of political persecution and serious human rights violations, claiming fear of Khan's influence in calling for strikes or legal actions. The official vowed to legally contest what he termed as state oppression.
