Chhattisgarh Government Renames Urban Schemes After Deendayal Upadhyay

Originally named after Upadhyay, these schemes were rebranded in 2019 by the Congress government to honor former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Recent orders have reinstated the original names as of September 18, with official updates posted to the government website on September 30.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sai noted that the names have simply been restored to their original status, while Congress spokesperson Sushil Anand Shukla criticized the move, suggesting that the BJP lacks new initiatives.
