NC chief Farooq Abdullah on Monday made a strong appeal to the people, urging them to unite and support the Congress-National Conference (NC) alliance in the ongoing J&K polls. He emphasized that the election is not about religion but about taking action.
The former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir highlighted the need to combat the ''forces'' spreading hatred across the country. He contended that these forces aim to weaken the nation to maintain their power.
Addressing a rally in Surankote, Abdullah criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his controversial 'mangalsutra' comments. He accused Modi of inciting hatred among citizens. During the Lok Sabha polls, Modi alleged that the Congress was planning to allocate citizens' valuables to ''infiltrators'' and those with many children.
