In a heated political development, Lok Sabha MP Sheikh Abdul Rashid accused National Conference leader Omar Abdullah and People's Conference chief Sajad Gani Lone of conspiring to defeat his Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) candidates in the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections.

Rashid, widely recognized as Engineer Rashid, revealed that despite Abdullah's public denouncements of Lone and other political entities as collaborators of the BJP, both leaders had united against his party. He pointed to irrefutable evidence of their covert alliances aimed at sabotaging AIP's prospects.

Highlighting the silence of the Farooq Abdullah-led party in response to BJP leader Tarun Chugh's claims, Rashid questioned why National Conference leaders had not addressed Chugh's statements about their secret meetings with BJP professionals. He also criticized Omar Abdullah for accepting support from the Apni Party, which he previously labeled as BJP's B team.
