The BJP has urged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to retract a controversial statement made during his visit to the US, claiming it has instilled fear among Sikhs in India.
Manjinder Singh Sirsa of the BJP cited a joint statement from Sikh groups to press Gandhi to withdraw his remarks, which he says are damaging to the Sikh community and have been exploited by anti-national elements.
Sirsa also criticized Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for not clearing financial dues to private hospitals under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, while spending public funds on private flights for AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal.
