Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will move out of his official residence within a week, according to AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, who made the announcement on Wednesday.
Speaking at a press conference, Singh mentioned that Kejriwal would relinquish all the benefits associated with his position as the chief minister.
On Tuesday, Kejriwal, accompanied by a group of AAP legislators, visited the L-G Secretariat to submit his resignation and officially support the formation of a new government under Atishi's leadership.
'After tendering his resignation, Kejriwal stated his intention to renounce all the facilities of a chief minister, including security, and live among the people as an ordinary citizen. Despite attempts to dissuade him due to previous threats, he remained resolute, citing his past resilience,' Singh said.
The final details of Kejriwal's new residence are yet to be decided.
