Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday announced that terrorism is nearing its end in Jammu and Kashmir, underlining his government's effort to promote new leadership against dynastic politics which has 'destroyed this beautiful region'.

Speaking at an election rally in Doda district of Jammu, PM Modi highlighted the collective effort needed to make Jammu and Kashmir secure and prosperous. This event marked his initial campaign appearance ahead of the Assembly elections starting on September 18.

Modi criticized the post-Independence period, stating that foreign powers targeted Jammu and Kashmir while political dynasties weakened it from within. He noted his government's aim to foster young leadership since coming to power in 2014, asserting that terrorism is now taking its final breaths in the region.
