Biden Condemns Attacks on Haitian Immigrants

At a White House event celebrating Black excellence, President Joe Biden called for an end to assaults on Haitian immigrants, condemning recent false claims by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. Referring to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre as a proud Haitian American, Biden highlighted the significant contributions of the Haitian community.

"A community that's under attack in our country right now. It's simply wrong. There's no place in America. This has to stop - what he's doing. It has to stop," Biden asserted, calling out Trump's false statements during a debate with U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris.

Leaders across the U.S. expressed worries that Trump's remarks, such as claiming immigrants are eating household pets, could endanger lives and heighten tensions in Springfield, Ohio. Despite local officials denying these allegations, Trump's assertions continue to stir controversy and fear.
