In a scathing critique, Bharatiya Janata Party MP Tejasvi Surya slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his remarks and meetings during his recent visit to the United States. At a press conference held on Friday, Surya expressed astonishment and said he wouldn't be surprised if Gandhi held meetings with terrorists in the future.

Highlighting Gandhi's interactions with individuals like Ilhar Omar, Surya accused the MP of engaging with 'anti-India' elements and agents from Khalistan, Pakistan, China, and Bangladesh. 'Rahul Gandhi's statements on the removal of reservations are quite damaging,' Surya asserted.

Gandhi, during his visit, discussed scrapping India's reservation system when the nation achieves a 'fair place,' as he addressed students and faculty at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Additionally, Surya questioned Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara's response to the stone pelting incident during a Ganapati procession, challenging him to maintain his stance had it occurred at his own residence.

Earlier, HD Kumaraswamy, former Karnataka Chief Minister and Union Minister, visited the violence-stricken Nagamangala area in Mandya, criticizing the Congress-led state government's alleged favoritism towards a particular community.
