The BJP's Lok Sabha MPs from Delhi met Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena on Thursday, urging him to intervene and facilitate the notification of more than 350 roads for mixed-land use as well as the granting of ownership rights to property owners in 69 colonies.

The delegation, which included MPs Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Yogendra Chandolia, Praveen Khandelwal, and Bansuri Swaraj, also highlighted the need for alternative plots for farmers whose land had been acquired. South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri stressed that a 2007 proposal by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) for mixed-use and commercial land on 351 roads remains unnotified by the city government.

Addressing additional concerns, Bidhuri pointed out that 16,000 applications for land rights are pending, heirs of deceased farmers lack legal inheritance rights, and issues persist with no-objection certificates from the Delhi Development Authority for power connections. The AAP government, meanwhile, accused the BJP of theatrics, blaming delays in the Master Plan for Delhi 2041 for the issues raised.
