Rivals, ruling Congress and BRS in Telangana clashed on Thursday after a scuffle broke out between the followers of opposition legislator P Kaushik Reddy and turncoat MLA Arekapudi Gandhi at the former's residence here.

Mild tension prevailed at the residence of Reddy in Kondapur after Gandhi arrived with his followers in response to the BRS MLA's challenge to prove his party allegiance.

BRS Working President KT Rama Rao condemned the incident, calling the Congress' actions an 'attempt to murder' and pledged to defend Telangana from 'corrupt misrule.' The altercation led to police intervention, arrests, and escalating accusations from both parties.
