West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, on Thursday, made a striking offer to resign in a bid to resolve the ongoing crisis at RG Kar Hospital. Banerjee's pledge for resignation came as she sought justice for the murdered hospital doctor.

During a press conference, Banerjee apologized to the people of Bengal for not meeting their expectations to end the RG Kar standoff. She disclosed that junior doctors had arrived at the government building, Nabanna, but declined to participate in the meeting.

Despite her best efforts over the past three days, a visibly frustrated Banerjee urged the medics to resume their duties, emphasizing her commitment to the people's welfare.
