Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Samrat Choudhary have conveyed their profound grief following the death of veteran CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury, who succumbed to a prolonged illness in New Delhi on Thursday.
In an official statement, the Chief Minister's Office expressed, 'Saddened by the passing of CPI(M) General Secretary and former Rajya Sabha MP Sitaram Yechury. His death is an irreparable loss to Indian politics and society. My heartfelt condolences to his family and supporters.' Choudhary posted on X, sharing similar sentiments.
RJD chief Lalu Prasad and leader Tejashwi Yadav also took to X to pay homage to Yechury, describing him as a leader committed to the poor and expressing their grief over his untimely demise.
