The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) on Thursday announced its third list, comprising 11 candidates, for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections. Among them is Aditya Chautala, the grandson of former Chief Minister Devi Lal, who will be contesting from Dabwali.

Other notable candidates from the third list include Sunaina Chautala from Fatehabad, Kunal Karan Singh from Tohana, Surender Lathar from Julana, Parkash Bharti from Mulana (SC), and Daya Bhadana from Punhana. The INLD is contesting the elections in alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).

On the same day, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) released its sixth list of 19 candidates for the Haryana Assembly elections, bringing its total to 89 out of 90 declared seats. Earlier, discussions on a seat-sharing arrangement between AAP and Congress fell through without an agreement. The nomination filing deadline is September 12, with voting on October 5 and counting on October 8. Post-2019 elections, BJP led the government in alliance with JJP, but the coalition dissolved earlier this year.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been in power in Haryana for a decade, with Manohar Lal Khattar serving as Chief Minister for the majority of this period. Khattar resigned in June, succeeded by Nayab Singh Saini. Now, Khattar serves as Union Minister of Urban and Housing Affairs.
