The ruling BJP late Wednesday unveiled its third and final list of candidates for the upcoming Haryana elections, notably excluding senior leader Ram Bilas Sharma from Mahendragarh.

According to the newly released list, BJP has fielded Kanwar Singh Yadav from Mahendragarh, a decision that saw Sharma preemptively file his nomination papers earlier in the day. Concurrently, Rohtash Jangra has been named the candidate for Sirsa, and Satish Fagna for Faridabad NIT.

With this release, the BJP has announced candidates for all 90 assembly seats, denying tickets to several incumbents including ministers. This comes amid internal discord, with leaders such as Karan Dev Kamboj hinting that the rebellion could have been averted had Chief Minister Nayab Saini been involved in the ticket allocation process. The BJP is aiming for a third consecutive term but faces stiff competition from a revived Congress leveraging the anti-incumbency sentiment. The elections are set for October 5, with vote counting scheduled for October 8.
