A close aide of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched a scathing attack on RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday. This followed Yadav's recent claims that Kumar had come 'begging' for an alliance.
State Minister Ashok Choudhary, known for his proximity to the Chief Minister, squarely blamed RJD chief Lalu Prasad for Nitish Kumar's decision to return to the NDA. Choudhary, a former Bihar Congress president and cabinet minister under Rabri Devi, alleged that Prasad habitually boosts his prospects by taking help from allies without returning the favor.
Choudhary reminded the young RJD leader that Nitish Kumar has a long tenure in public life, predating Yadav's birth. He emphasized that no one from JD(U) had ever sought an alliance with Yadav's father. Yadav, who has previously served as Deputy CM, had claimed last week that Kumar begged for the alliance, sparking fresh speculations of political realignment. Choudhary reminded the public that Nitish Kumar's alliances have consistently guaranteed electoral success for any political formation.
