Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has fiercely criticized Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for his recent remarks on reservation made while he was in the US. The Chief Minister has demanded an apology, accusing Gandhi of attempting to sow divisions within the country.
CM Yogi stated in a post on social media platform X that Gandhi's efforts are condemnable. He accused the Congress leader of hatching a conspiracy to abolish reservation, warning that the BJP will resist such divisive intentions.
Rahul Gandhi, during an interaction at Georgetown University, had mentioned considering the removal of reservations once India becomes a "fair place." He highlighted the lack of representation for OBCs, Dalits, and Adivasis as a crucial issue. In response, Union Home Minister Amit Shah asserted that Gandhi's comments reflect his divisive policies and emphasized the BJP's commitment to retaining reservations.
