In a sharp rebuttal to the BJP's accusations of anti-nationalism against Rahul Gandhi, the Congress party maintained on Wednesday that the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha has been advocating for upholding the Constitution. The Congress questioned the ruling party's issue with such advocacy.
The Congress also countered the criticism over Gandhi's meeting with US Democrat Ilhan Omar, known for her contentious views on India. Responding to BJP's outrage, Congress urged the ruling party to summon the US ambassador and take necessary steps if they deemed the meeting problematic.
Reacting to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's accusations, Congress' Pawan Khera challenged the BJP to take action, suggesting that Gandhi's focus was on constitutional fidelity. Khera highlighted the PM's critical remarks abroad, questioning why BJP has issues with constitutional advocacy.
