Kamala Harris appeared dominant in Tuesday's presidential debate against Republican former president Donald Trump, yet a segment of undecided voters did not find her a convincing candidate. A Reuters interview revealed that six out of ten undecided voters are now favoring Trump, while three support Harris, and one remains uncertain.

The tight race between Harris and Trump may be determined by a few tens of thousands of votes in crucial battleground states. Although the interview sample was small, it indicated that Harris may need to offer more detailed policies to attract undecided voters. Five voters critiqued Harris for being vague on her economic plans and addressing the high cost of living, a major voter concern.

While Harris mentioned policy details such as tax benefits for families and small businesses, she predominantly attacked Trump during the debate. Some voters switched to Trump, citing a better personal financial situation during his presidency and skepticism about Harris's economic proposals. Harris faces the challenge of clearly communicating her policies to sway more potential voters.
