Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], September 2: ROCKWOOL announced today its plans to build a new factory in Cheyyar, 90 km from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The company is set to invest Rs. 550 Crores in the project, which will create over 150 jobs in local communities. The factory, scheduled to start operations in Q1 2026, will produce non-combustible, recyclable stone wool insulation.

Thomas Kahler, Chairman of the Board, ROCKWOOL Group, stated, "India is poised to be the world's third-largest economy by 2030.
