Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday condemned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his statements in the United States criticizing the BJP-led government and the Election Commission, accusing him of 'defaming' India abroad due to his frustration from repeated electoral defeats.
Chouhan, who arrived in Ranchi for a party meeting, stated, 'Only a frustrated person can defame the country and spoil its image abroad.' He argued that criticizing one's own country in another nation could not be considered a patriotic act, emphasizing Gandhi's responsibilities as Opposition Leader in the Lok Sabha.
Chouhan and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took stock of preparations for the BJP's upcoming 'Parivartan Rallies' in Jharkhand, which aim to challenge the Hemant Soren government accused of corruption and poor governance.
