Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday criticized Rahul Gandhi for his remarks in the United States, asserting that Gandhi's criticisms stem from frustration over Congress's three consecutive defeats in Lok Sabha polls.

During an address to the Indian-American community in Dallas, Gandhi emphasized that while RSS sees India as one idea, he believes India embodies a multiplicity of ideas. This marked his first interaction with the Indian diaspora on his US visit.

Chouhan responded by reminding Gandhi of the responsibilities that come with being the leader of the opposition, citing how Atal Bihari Vajpayee never tarnished India's image abroad during his tenure. Chouhan accused Gandhi of criticizing the country out of frustration and stressed there are no Congress or BJP outside India, only Bharat.

Gandhi, during his US address, stated that love, respect, and humility are missing in Indian politics, advocating for inclusive participation across caste, language, religion, and tradition. He criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allegedly attacking the Constitution of India.
