Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut on Sunday sharply criticized Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, asserting that even if Fadnavis took 100 births, he wouldn't understand the machinations of NCP supremo Sharad Pawar.
Raut's comments follow Fadnavis's claim that Sharad Pawar had considered three to four names for the chief minister's post before the state assembly elections, excluding Uddhav Thackeray. Speaking to reporters, Raut challenged the ruling dispensation to call for elections and accused PM Narendra Modi and HM Amit Shah of orchestrating party splits.
Raut alleged that recent political defections in Maharashtra were engineered by Modi and Shah, accusing them of pressurizing leaders like Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar. He further criticized Shah for his presence in Mumbai amid fresh violence in Manipur, urging him to address the unrest there instead.
