TMC MP Jawahar Sircar's letter to West Bengal Chief Minister and party supremo Mamata Banerjee has revealed deep-rooted corruption and dictatorial tendencies within the Trinamool Congress (TMC), the BJP claimed on Sunday.

Sircar announced his resignation from the Rajya Sabha and politics, highlighting corruption among TMC leaders and the lack of action against them as key reasons. The BJP's national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla seized on the letter, asserting it exposed 'too much corruption' within the TMC.

Poonawalla also condemned what he described as an institutional cover-up in the Kolkata medic rape-and-murder case and criticized TMC leaders for mistreating protestors. He questioned Congress's silence on the issue and called for Mamata Banerjee's resignation.
