In a pointed rebuttal to Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi, Himachal Pradesh's Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Minister, Aniruddh Singh, accused Owaisi of acting as a 'Team-B' for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Singh claimed Owaisi's politics is too narrowly focused on a single community and fails to address the pressing issues affecting Himachal Pradesh.

'The Congress government in Himachal Pradesh is committed to development and ensures all actions are lawful,' Singh stated, referencing the controversy over unauthorized constructions. He clarified that the matter at hand is about legal versus illegal structures, not religious buildings. Singh criticized Owaisi for intervening in a political manner, further stating that despite respecting Owaisi personally, he disapproves of his communal approach and neglect of developmental issues.

Singh emphasized that the primary concern is verifying newcomers to Himachal Pradesh to mitigate security risks, noting the peaceful coexistence of the Muslim community in the state. However, he expressed concerns over the recent influx of people from other states and countries, pressing for a thorough investigation and more stringent regulations.

'This issue isn't about Hindus or Muslims; it's about adhering to the law,' Singh explained, highlighting the need for proper checks for those coming into the state. He pointed out the arrival of individuals from countries like Bangladesh, calling it a national concern that requires strict oversight.

The ongoing debate over the Sanjauli Mosque continues to spark political discussions in Himachal Pradesh, with both BJP and Congress leaders vocal about their stances on the issue.
