Union Minister Raksha Khadse has stated that a reconciliation between her father-in-law Eknath Khadse and Maharashtra Minister Girish Mahajan could significantly advance the development of Jalgaon district.

Eknath Khadse, a political figure from Jalgaon, left the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in October 2023 to join the undivided Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). He cited grievances against BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, now Deputy Chief Minister, as his reason for departing. Khadse and Mahajan have been at odds, complicating local political dynamics.

As the Lok Sabha elections approach, Khadse has indicated a willingness to rejoin the BJP, but no official decision has been made. Raksha Khadse emphasized that unity between Khadse and Mahajan would benefit Jalgaon's progress. The BJP central leadership has also engaged with Khadse to assist in campaign efforts, highlighting his influence and the importance of his return.
