Bahujan Samaj Party leader Mayawati on Thursday called on the Yogi Adityanath administration to cease its 'bulldozer politics' and devise a strategy to curb wild animals from wandering into residential areas and attacking residents.
Mayawati pointed out the increasing incidents in UP districts where wild animals are attacking children, the elderly, and younger individuals. She urged the government to take immediate steps to resolve the issue, stressing that laborers and poor populations are struggling to provide fodder for their livestock. She also urged the government and the Samajwadi Party to leave the matter of 'bulldozer politics' for the Supreme Court to decide.
In addition to these comments, Mayawati highlighted a recent case where a private ambulance driver attempted to molest and rape a patient's wife in Basti district. She condemned the incident as 'shameful' and called for stringent action against the perpetrator.
