On Wednesday, the opposition Congress party accused IPS officer M R Ajith Kumar of acting as a go-between for Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the RSS.
The Congress claimed Kumar deliberately disrupted the Thrissur Pooram festival under the CM's orders to ensure BJP's victory in Thrissur's Lok Sabha polls. Leader of the Opposition V D Satheesan challenged the Chief Minister about deploying ADGP Kumar to meet RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale.
The CM and RSS have yet to respond to these claims. Satheesan demanded a CBI investigation, alleging a covert agreement between the CM and BJP to influence the election results.
