Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha announced that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched its nationwide membership drive for 2024, setting an ambitious target to enroll 10 crore new members across the country. Specifically, the state aims to register 12 lakh members.

The membership campaign started today in Tripura, following the national launch by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Chief Minister Saha was the first to enroll, followed by the BJP State President. The CM emphasized that this drive is integral to BJP's organizational structure, recalling the massive participation in the previous campaign.

Tripura BJP President Rajib Bhattacharjee referred to the membership drive as a 'festival' for the party, highlighting the online and missed call registration methods. The drive started with PM Modi renewing his membership. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda both expressed confidence that the campaign would surpass its 10-crore target.
